Homerilla Roller Shade Lineup: Five Builds, One Clean Window
Roller shades used to mean one thing: a flat slab of fabric on a spring. That version still exists, but the category has split into sleep grade blackout, soft light solar, no drill rental fixes, and motorized systems that talk to your house. Homerilla now covers all of those with five distinct roller models. This post lays them side by side so you can match the window to the job instead of buying the same shade for every room.
Arden: 100 Percent Blackout, Motorized Ready

Arden is the bedroom and nursery workhorse. The fabric is a solid 100 percent blackout weave, no liner needed, no side glow when mounted outside the frame. It ships as a manual roll by default, but the motor option is where it earns its keep.
Pick the Matter enabled motor and Arden joins your existing smart home without a proprietary hub. Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, all speak to it through Matter. Set a wake scene that lifts the shade at 7 AM and a movie scene that drops it to the sill at dusk.
Best fit: master bedroom, baby nursery, shift worker dorm, home theater.
Nuvia: 100 Percent Blackout with More Texture and a Waterproof Option

Nuvia starts where Arden stops. Same 100 percent blackout performance, but the face fabric comes in a wider set of subtle woven patterns (soft twill, micro herringbone, tonal jacquard) so the shade does not read as a flat painted panel. One variant uses a waterproof blackout fabric, which matters in kitchens with steam and bathrooms with splashes where a standard blackout cloth would eventually stain or curl.
Nuvia also takes the Matter motor, so you get the same smart home routing as Arden with more finish choices.
Best fit: kitchen adjoined breakfast nooks, bathroom windows with privacy needs, design led bedrooms that want blackout without the hotel room look.
Soma: Cordless Manual Roller, Motor Optional
Soma is the manual first model. It runs on a cordless spring or clutch system, safe for kids and pets, no dangling chain. You pull the bottom bar, it stays where you leave it. If you later want power, Soma accepts a remote controlled motor module as an add on, no need to replace the shade.
This is the sweet spot for guest rooms, studies, and anyone who wants cordless quiet without paying for motors on every window.
Best fit: guest bedroom, home office, rental friendly upgrades where you may add automation later.
Ezio: No Drill Cordless Roller, Motor Optional

Ezio solves the problem every renter hits: the lease says no holes. It mounts with tension or adhesive brackets inside the window frame, no screw into the wall, no patch job when you move out. Like Soma it is cordless manual by default and can be fitted with the remote control motor later.
Because it is a lighter duty build than Arden or Nuvia, Ezio targets standard residential windows, not wide patio doors. But for an apartment that changes hands every two years, it is the shade you take with you.
Best fit: rented apartments, dorm rooms, temporary housing, secondary bathrooms.
Zane: Solar Shade for Soft Light and View

Zane is the opposite of the four above. It uses a solar screen fabric with controlled openness, so daylight passes through, glare drops, UV load falls, and you still see the trees outside. Not a blackout, not even room darkening. It is the shade for windows where you argue with the sun but do not want to lose the view.
Zane also supports the remote control motor add on, handy on tall or hard to reach windows.
Best fit: living room with a garden view, home office with screen glare, balcony door that faces west.
How They Sit Next to Homerilla Drapes
Roller shades are the precise layer. Drapes are the soft layer. A common Homerilla window stacks Zane solar inside the casing for daytime glare, then Lille linen or Bram faux cashmere on a wrap around pole outside for evening warmth. Bedrooms go Arden or Nuvia inside, Kapor or Windsor drape outside for a blackout plus texture combo.
The shades ship as self contained cassettes. Rods, rings, and tracks are not part of the shade cart, same rule as our curtain line. Standard free delivery applies, express is available, and we do not send installers. Motor modules are a clear line item in the order flow, not a post checkout surprise.
