Extra Long Curtains: Luxurious Pleats And The Blackout Effect

Extra Long Curtains: Luxurious Pleats And The Blackout Effect

Window treatments are by far the easiest thing to add to a room to make a big impact. If a room feels like it's missing something, almost always drapes or shades will complete it.

My go to rules for hanging curtains are to go as close to the ceiling as possible. Order each of your panels up to double the size you need in order to cover the window. Hang your curtain rod wide enough to accommodate the drapes nicely stacked to the side of the window.

So beautiful!

Product Information: Lille Linen Curtains Drape Pleated

For example, each of these panels from @homerilla_official (gifted) are 110" wide, giving me a total of 220" of window coverage. When all I technically needed was 120" of drapery width. Formula as close to the ceiling as possible gives you your curtain length, double your window gives you your total panel width.

I'm totally taken back by the quality of these particular drapes! So beautiful. These are the Lille Linen drape, with a triple French pleat, with no lining, and in the color 'Tapioca'. Each panel is 110" wide x 94" long.
